I use a 1.7 litre "Brita" filter jug / pitcher to remove most of the chlorine from the water I use to make coffee. I recently moved to a place that has chlorinated water from a place that did not. The difference to the coffee was huge. What had previously tasted good without chlorine tasted burnt and bitter with it. These device only cost about $30, but is money well spent. We use ours for almost all water we consume.

Good points about the health benefits of organic coffee, both the health of our bodies and the health of our environment. If you choose fair trade as well, you're affecting the well-being of the growers even more. Lots of places on the Internet to find organic coffee.

Comment on Pressure Cooker Recipes Relieve Pressure On The Cook by Jill

The pressure cooker and the slow cooker are 2 completely different appliances. The pressure cooker needs liquid and has a sealed lid, the slow cooker can go all day. The slow cooker cooks slowly while the pressure cooker cooks quickly.
Also you cannot truly cook beef stroganoff in the pressure cooker. You can only cook the beef part in there as the high heat and pressure will ruin your sour cream.
It sounds as if you like the idea of pressure cooking but the experience using it makes it very clear what can and cannot be done in it. I have never done pasta in it because it doesn't make much sense as the time savings is small, whereas cooking beans in less than 30 minutes from the dry state is a huge time saver.
I have recipes in both my book The Veggie Queen: Vegetables Get the Royal Treatment and my DVD, Pressure Cooking: A Fresh Look, Delicious Dishes in Minutes.

You're right about the benefits of organic coffee, though I don't know how new an addition is. For more good news, much organic coffee is also fair trade, which guarantees a return to its growers.
